To the Family To Roane County In Tennessee Beyond Tennessee

In our ministries at Bethel, we strive to live what we believe.

In joy and gratitude for God's bounty, we give of our time, our talents and our financial resources, seeking to follow Christ's example of preaching, teaching, healing, and advocating for the poor, the hungry and the oppressed. We also support and sustain the personal ministries of our members, many of whom are involved as volunteers in our community.

As a connectional church, in addition to direct  financial support for local, regional and international ministries chosen by Bethel's Mission Outreach Committee, our church gives substantial financial support to the Shared Missions of our General Assembly, our Synod and our Presbytery of East Tennessee.

Through our Presbytery, in 2003, we support financially: Campus Ministries for both UT Chattanooga and UT Knoxville, the Bachman Academy, Newton Community Center,* Sunset Gap Community Center,* the John Knox Center,* Knoxville College, Maryville College, Tusculum College, the Morgan-Scott Project* and Presbytery programs such as the Committee on Ministry and Preparation for Ministry, Congregational Redevelopment and other Presbytery  programs. (Note: starred programs* receive additional direct support from Bethel.)
