Bethel helps provide emergency food to the hungry in Roane County by contributing food, financial support, and volunteer hours to the Hand Of Mercy Enterprises (H.O.M.E.) community food pantry, located in Kingston.
Hands of Mercy was established in 2002 by David Zavadil, pastor of Grace Fellowship Presbyterian Church (PCA), in an effort to create a central pantry, with extended hours, that could serve more families. The pantry is administrated by the Kingston Ministerial Association.
Bethel members and friends, along with other church volunteers, stock the shelves and serve those who come for the food.
