Christmas Joy Offering

and Bethel helps support, this Special Offering)

Bethel supports a 60-year-old Presbyterian tradition - the Christmas Joy Offering. One of four offerings designated by the General Assembly, the Joy Offering is divided evenly between the Board of Pensions and the Committee of Higher Education. The Board of Pensions offers assistance to church workers and their families in the forms of Income Supplements, Nursing Home Care Assistance and Shared Grants. The Committee of Education uses its share to help schools with basic operating costs and allow schools to provide a greater number of scholarships to deserving students.
